Privacy notice

Last updated: 23 October 2026. This notice explains how Savera handles information when you use this website or contact the practice. It covers initial enquiries, not the full separate consent and records policy for counselling clients.

1. Who is responsible?

Savera is operated by Harsha Somani, Counselling Psychologist, Vadodara, Gujarat, India. For privacy questions, requests or grievances, email harsha18somani@gmail.com.

2. What information is collected?

The website does not have an enquiry form, user accounts or online payment collection. If you choose to contact the practice via WhatsApp or email, the information you provide may include your name, contact details, message, scheduling preferences and related correspondence. Please avoid sending detailed health histories, diagnoses, documents or other sensitive information in an initial enquiry.

Hosting services may automatically process technical information such as IP address, browser details, timestamps and security logs. The nature photograph is loaded from Unsplash, and that service may receive technical connection information when the image loads. The website does not intentionally use advertising pixels or analytics cookies in this version.

3. Why is information used?

Information provided in enquiries is used to respond to you, answer questions, check appointment availability, discuss session arrangements, handle relevant administrative matters and protect the website and communications from misuse. It is not used for unrelated marketing without a separate lawful basis or appropriate permission.

4. WhatsApp, Instagram and other providers

Choosing a WhatsApp or Instagram link takes you to a third-party service governed by its own privacy practices. WhatsApp and email are for scheduling and general enquiries, not emergencies or confidential therapy sessions. Website hosting and email providers may process information to deliver their services. Providers may process or store data outside India, subject to applicable legal requirements.

5. Sharing and security

Personal information is not sold. It may be accessible to service providers needed for communications or hosting, and disclosed where legally required or to address a serious safety risk as permitted or required by law. Reasonable access restrictions and security practices should be applied, but no digital service is completely risk-free.

6. Retention

Enquiry messages are retained only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage follow-up and meet applicable legal obligations, then deleted or securely archived according to the practice's documented retention schedule. Before publication, Harsha should establish and document a specific retention schedule for unanswered enquiries, completed enquiries and counselling records. Counselling records, if any, are managed separately from website enquiries.

7. Your choices and requests

You may contact the practice to request information about your personal data, seek correction or deletion, withdraw consent where applicable, or raise a concern. Requests will be considered under the law in force and any applicable record-retention or safety obligations. For privacy grievances, contact Harsha at the email above. As the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and Rules, 2025 come into effect in phases, the practice will update its processes and this notice as required.

8. Children and emergencies

This website is intended for general information and initial adult enquiries. Counselling arrangements involving minors require appropriate parent or guardian involvement and additional safeguards under applicable law. Messages are not monitored continuously. In an immediate emergency in India, call 112 or attend the nearest emergency department.

9. Changes

This notice may be updated as the practice's technology, procedures or legal requirements change. The date above indicates the latest version.
